Registry

One of the definitions of a registry is that of showing the nationality of a ship. I like that description at least as well as the common one of a registry being an official list. This registry is a little of both. If I can be metaphorical about it:

We’re like ships put to sail on new waters. We’re charting a new course. What we share with each other can be like the North Star.

This registry is a partial listing of those experiencing, and willing to share their experience, of A Course of Love. A beginning is made below.

A full registry will form slowly; over time. By beginning the registry, we acknowledge that it may someday provide the sort of “big picture” that says something about who we are. It could allow a person new to ACOL to see that there is a sense of solidarity among the readership. They might as well, find a group to attend, or a person with whom they could be in dialogue.

The registry listing will be updated as information is received. All you need do to submit your entry is reply here or send an email to perron.mari@gmail.com. This is all it will look like: A list. It will be a listing. But despite how it looks it will be much more.

Below there’s more than one example of what a very complete registry looks like. Please share as much or as little as you are comfortable with. A minimum of name and city/state would be appreciated. I’ll provide “at a glance” listings (as above) and fuller listings (as below).

I have been responsible for the publication of A Course of Love in Dutch because I was so taken by it. It has been my greatest gift to Holland. http://the-tao-of-flow.com

In 2005 I experienced a clear opening within me that the opportunity to Heal into Wholeness was before me. Briefly after that the words Radiant Heart became part of my regular thoughts. Those specific descriptors have been with me ever since.

In my particular case, there occurred an intuitive recognition of an inward opening representing an energetic opportunity to heal in such a way as to experience a deep comprehensive movement consisting of the entirety of my being towards wholeness.

For some time, the process of transformation and embodiment was quite intense. However, the self informing process and accompanying revelations were consistently reliable, in spite of being completely non-linear and experienced out of time, and the process was highly reinforced by the unfoldment of innate and highly personalized abilities and an expanding awareness.

During the summer of 2006, while doing some research, I came across the titles of the books in the A Course of Love series. Not surprisingly, the material within them intersected my life and process at a time of great ripeness and willingness. I experienced an immediate affinity with the series and continue to experience a true living relationship with the spirit of all that is shared within them. I found myself relating most often to The Dialogues of A Course of Love as much of the previous material had already been ‘happening’ within me over the last few years. In any case, it is a true living companion to my own unfoldment into beingness.  http://www.livinginbeingness.com

I have read A Course in Miracles – participate weekly in an ACIM group at a Unity Church with my partner Ann, have read ACOL and have an ACOL group in my home (which I hope to resume in September), and have also read A Way of Mastery which I am now going through for the second time. Each work is an evolution of the previous. All are channeled by Jesus. Each brings a unique slant on our awakening. I believe we are in the midst of a dramatic shift in our consciousness, and these channeled works are a part of this shift.

I have been searching most of my life for what Love is and thanks to “A Course of Love” I have found my answers. Thank you Mari….

In January 2009, completely burnt-out, struggling, and six years into a time of ‘undoing’, I wrote to Mari after reading her article in ‘Miracles’ magazine –

“I’ve worked in the corporate world for 30 years, raised two young men, and generally have always been the person to whom friends and neighbors and family turn, the party giver, the connecter, the problem solver, the listening ear, the supporter, the ready to help-er; and now I no longer am drawn to any kind of social connection. Will I find answers in A Course of Love? I’ve been working with A Course In Miracles over and over again for some 17 years now … will A Course of Love take me deeper? with more understanding, more experience? better able to live the principles?”

It did and it does. By October 2011 everything fell into place. Who I am and the particular gifts I bring to the world began to crystallize, and have continued to reveal themselves with increasing clarity and concreteness ever since. Today, after almost 32 months of regular email dialogue with Mari, it is with great joy and gratitude that I join this broader community.

I learned of ACOL from my friend Lynn, who had read it many years ago and was drawn to it again. The three books have fed me all summer. I read ACOL 3 times and am presently meeting with two other women to share. Tomorrow morning I will read Day 40 of The Dialogues, so tonight is a perfect time to register. I have been profoundly affected by the books and look forward to continuing the dialogue with the broader community. Thank you, Mari, for this precious gift.  http://catiethecopycat.com

I have been involved with A Course of Love since before it was published, meeting in Mari’s coffee shop with spiral bound books. It’s hard to say what this Course is to me because it has become my life. As I entered the relationship with Jesus, I descended into a dark night of the soul that I have seen as being about incarnating. I feel my greatest affinity for “The Way of Mary” from The Dialogues, and love Creation of the New.

Mari Perron, W. St. Paul                                                                                           perron.mari@gmail.com

I began my love affair with Jesus as a child, it grew exponentially as I received the books of A Course of Love, and it continues as I see the Christ energy in life. I particularly love hearing about the affects A Course of Love has had on those who have entered the experience of returning to their hearts.

Bob Veitch, Minneapolis                                                                                     rdveitch@gmail.com

I was shanghaied by ACOL as a second-order effect.  My friend had been drawn into the maelstrom when ACOL scoured away the ground beneath her feet.  She reached out and her perfect need awakened my ability to love unconditionally. Giving and receiving were one.  When I finally read ACOL it was like finding an old friend reminding me of what I had always known. The cynic that had lived so long in my head vanished and amazing opportunities to see and use the power of love have been unfolding in my life ever since.

I am looking to chat or study with others who are studying this amazing book. Please contact me if you want to share a particular passage that spoke to your heart. I intend to share, in writing what speaks to me in my Diary of Love and would love to share my insights and stories of the miracles that are happening as a result of my “observances”.

In 2004, I entered a group who by then was reading ACIM. I became very affected. Having searched for many years, I felt I at last had found a way I could call mine. A couple of years later, we shifted to ACOL which very soon became my new favorite. It is just beautiful!

In June 2010, my friend Storker Svendsen and I travelled from Europe to St. Paul to visit Mari. We spent some wonderful days with her. I will always remember the great welcome we received and the marvelous hospitality we benefited from.

The books and all the emails from Mari are the most important things that have ever happened to me. My heart has been opened in quite a new way. I often feel much love to life, to the nature and to all the people who surround me. There is a song in my heart that was not there before. I work now to make love sustainable, to make it an automatic response all day long.

Storker and I work together on a Norwegian translation, and look forward to have the books published. The more I work with the books, the more I love them. Today I have read those marvelous words (20.18): Who could be left out of the embrace?  And who from within the embrace could be separate and alone?

It is not possible to find better comfort than those words!  I often feel the books are meant especially for me.

Thank you! Please respond below or to perron.mari@gmail.com.

    Dear Mari,

I want to be a part of the registry, and I want to be a part of the dialogue. I would prefer not to post my e-mail as I do not want spam in my “in” box. Nobody on your site would send it, but others might.

I write “Blog: A Course in Miracles & More”. Some of these postings consider A Course of Love, and I will return to ACOL in the spring of 2012.

    Most cordially,

    Celia
